Improving Access to Podiatric Care In Rural Communities

Foot and ankle surgeon Shelly D. Sedberry, MS, DPM, AACFAS, and her associate, Brittany M. Ciaramello, DPM, AACFAS, today announced their collaboration with Nevada Regional Medical Center, Cedar County Memorial Hospital, and Ellett Memorial Hospital. Dr. Sedberry and Dr. Ciaramello will see patients at all three locations on a monthly schedule. A collaboration that will improve access to podiatric care in rural communities.

Dr. Sedberry is a Yale-trained foot and ankle surgeon with additional certification in rearfoot and ankle reconstruction. She earned her doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University and completed a three-year surgical residency at Yale New Haven Hospital/VA Connecticut Healthcare System. Her private practice, Shoal Creek Foot & Ankle Center, is in Joplin, Missouri. She is board certified with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and an associate with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Ciaramello is also a Yale-trained foot and ankle surgeon. She earned her doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program at Yale New Haven Hospital. Her training included private offices, stand-alone surgery centers, and community hospitals to achieve a well-rounded experience.
